Above all, we are committed to our clients' success in making transportation better for future generations.The Planning group provides fully integrated planning and management as well as project development services for our clients. The group encompasses The group encompasses four subgroups: Planning and Management; Freight and Economics; Transit and Shared Mobility; and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Technology Planning. We apply our national knowledge and leadership while leveraging the strength of our regional expertise to bring experience from across the country and at the federal level to an intimate understanding of our clients' needs. The Transportation Analyst works under the general supervision of a Project Manager in our Planning group on assignments such as statewide and regional planning studies, multimodal corridor studies, transportation policy analysis, environmental analysis and others, with a particular focus on transportation resilience. This might include:

  • Risk and resilience (R&R) adaptation planning, working on corridor or areawide vulnerability or community-based R&R assessments, including the use of tools
  • Integrating planning and risk-based asset management; transportation and other disciplines, such as storm water management, cost benefit analysis, emergency management, equity
  • Working on statewide and regional planning efforts, such as resilience action/implementation plans, Long Range Transportation Plans (LRTPs), corridor planning, or special studiesThe Analyst also handles assignments of a quantitative and qualitative nature; learns to use, understand, appropriately apply new technical tools; and begins to develop interpretive skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Delivery
    • Produces and delivers exceptional quality work that is thorough, polished, and reflects well on CS Provides exceptional value-added service to project managers and/or clients and communicates consistently with internal and external team members
    • Conducts research and qualitative analysis Provides meeting logistics and support
    • Actively listens and seeks to understand client or project manager needs
    • Meets chargeability expectationsPosition Requirements
      • Bachelor's degree required
      • 1+ years of applicable experience Preferred Qualifications
        • Demonstrated knowledge of or interest in transportation resilience, transportation planning, or urban/regional planning
        • Strong research and analysis skills
        • Demonstrated writing and communication skills
