Warehouse and Logistic Trainer
Reports to: Director of Training and Education
Salary Range: $27 - $30 per hour
OIC of South Florida is a community-based leader in providing

is accomplished through three divisions: Workforce Development,
Youth and Families, and OIC Strategic Integration.
This position is responsible for instruction of Warehouse and
Logistic modules specific to utilize daily lessons and educational
activities designed to teach students how to manage and coordinate
the logistical functions in an enterprise, ranging from
acquisitions to receiving and handling, through internal allocation
of resources to operations units, to the handling and delivery of
output. This will be done through teaching Manufacturing Skill
Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistic Technician (CLT) and
the Certified Production Technician (CPT) Core Curriculum
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery of MSSC Core Curriculum classroom training:
--- Instruct and monitor student in the use of learning materials
and equipment in adherence to the Certified Logistic Assistant
(CLA), Certified Logistic Technician (CLT) and Certified Production
Technician (CPT) Core curriculum.
--- Use relevant technology to support instruction.
--- Observe and evaluate students' performance and development.
--- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning
--- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and
--- Provide appropriate feedback on individual and group work.
--- Maintain accurate and complete records of student-client
progress and development through individual training plans - for
weekly reporting to Training Manager.
--- Provide and maintain a variety of learning materials and
resources for use in educational activities.
--- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and
enforcing rules and procedures.
--- Recommend appropriate curriculum, software and/or other
applicable material as needed to meet and complete training goals
and industry and organizational training standards.
--- Present information using a variety of instructional techniques
or formats, including simulations, team exercises, group
discussions, videos, or lectures to meet varied learning
Provide on-hands-on training:
--- Develop detailed assessment which will allow the student to
demonstrate an understanding of the core skills and knowledge of
the industry standards.
--- Coordinate and monitor the progress and quality of work
--- Help to set standards for appropriate behavior and ways to
handle problems on the warehouse/logistic setting.
--- Ensure work-site safety, teaching safety procedures and proper
--- Offering technical support on-site.
--- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management,
Training, Education or related field of study -OR- Experienced
Supply Chain Manager with 5-7 years of supply chain management with
--- Strong knowledge of the safety, the core competencies of
material handling, the foundational core competencies of advanced
manufacturing production and maintain awareness.
--- Strong commitment to helping learners succeed in an innovative
--- Ability to relate sensitively to a diverse group of young
adults and adults.
--- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
--- Ability to work with diverse population of business
professionals, industry associations and community organizations as
well as staff at all levels.

--- Ability to demonstrate fair and consistent behavior in all
matters, and show compassion without being ineffectual.
--- Performing the duties of this position requires the ability to
walk, sit, stand, reach, talk, hear and lift presentation
materials, including equipment.
--- This position will require independent travel between agency
resource centers and other venues as required by position. Must
maintain valid DL and insurance coverage on personal vehicle at all
times during employment.
