Overview We are looking for a Practice Integration Specialist Acquisitions to join the Practice Integration Team at a growing, technology-focused Dental Services Organization (DSO) experiencing exciting direct-to-consumer, de novo, and acquisition growth. This role will be primarily focused on the onboarding, engagement, assessment, training, and ongoing support of staff at newly acquired clinics as they transition into the Sage Dental family. To drive success, the candidate will combine technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of industry practices. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, and be comfortable leading both individual and group training sessions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to transition from an office-based role into a dynamic training and traveling support position. Key responsibilities will include conducting practice assessments for newly acquired clinics, training team members on our Practice Management System (PMS), supporting operational initiatives and workflows, and ensuring a seamless integration of Sage Dentals specific processes. This position requires up to 90% travel time which may include weekends and overnight stays, as applicable. Travel is non-negotiable. Responsibilities Actively participate in the setup and operational launch of new clinics as assigned. Conduct the initial assessment of newly acquired clinics to understand their current workflows, identify gaps, and develop a tailored training plan to ensure a smooth Practice Management System (PMS) conversion. Provide on-the-job training, shadowing, and mentorship to ensure the teams are familiar with Sage Dental workflows and operations procedures. Perform both pre- and post-conversion assessments to monitor progress and ensure optimal outcomes. Facilitate and implement training programs that enable clinics to maximize financial and operational performance, enhance office workflows, and streamline systems. Organize a training curriculum that honors company ethics and conduct that is engaging and allows trainees the maximum opportunity to participate. Provide on-site and remote support throughout the assignment, during the turnover period & grand opening, pre- & post-close through systems conversion, practice stabilization, and hand-off to the Director of Market Operations. Contribute to the assessment and creation of a comprehensive onboarding and integration plan for newly acquired practices. Complete detailed documentation to track integration achievements and key aspects of the practice transition. Maintain an up-to-date directory and inventory of training materials, ensuring resources are accurate and current, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed. Manage checklists and multiple projects with attention to detail, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently. Serve as a resource, representative, and mentor to assist with the understanding of new policies and operational processes. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with a wide range of individuals, maintaining a positive demeanor, particularly in challenging situations. Travel to assigned locations, including overnight stays, as required. Assist with additional projects and initiatives needed to support the organization's growth and development. Qualifications Associates degree or relevant certification, with dental-related experience preferred. Operational experience within a dental office, four years + preferred Proficiency in practice management systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon, etc) Comfortable with public speaking in various learning settings, both in-person and remote. Ability to create and present complex information to a variety of audiences. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in all aspects of work. Must be able to demonstrate leadership by serving as an example to others regarding professional behavior, handling multiple tasks, maintaining a positive attitude, and in response to organizational change. Change management: Understand the importance of creating rapport with team members undergoing change and assisting them in feeling at ease for their upcoming PMS conversion. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Quick learner of new software and technology. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team. Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Passion for training others. Conflict resolution skills. A skilled specialist should be able to mediate and resolve conflicts effectively, ensuring a smooth and positive transition. A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the team and companys success. Diligent in assessing acquired clinics, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring training aligns with the specific needs of each practice.
