YOLO Restaurant and The Restaurant People Group (TRP) is looking for the right Sous Chef candidates to grow into Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef rolls. As an established company and home-based in downtown Fort Lauderdale, TRP is an ever-growing company, opening locations in the Broward and Dade counties, expanding into new concepts and avant-garde operations.

YOLO Restaurant is located in the vibrant heart of Las Olas Boulevard, serving loyal guests since its inception in 2008. YOLO is redefining Contemporary American Cuisine with a big emphasis on Steaks and Fish with a modern twist. Our approach to the menu is to properly use innovative techniques to achieve the highest-quality, visually appealing and delicious plates while maintaining a high-volume operation.

Our Sous Chef program is designed to provide an environment for professional growth. We believe we must develop our kitchen managers knowledge and skills to be able to proficiently run an operation and become expert culinarians to manage our operations.

*Sous chef Responsibilities include: *

Production & Prep Organization

Delegating/enforcing work & responsibilities to hourly staff (Cleaning, production, etc)

Butchery & Sauce production

Ordering based on Product Sales Mix Reports

Receiving and Organizing Product

Training Staff in every station of the kitchen

Balancing Labor Costs on a daily basis

Event/Banquet Production

Equipment Repair & Maintenance acknowledgement

*Sous Chef Requirements: *

2 years minimum experience managing high-volume operations

Butchery & Saucier skills

High-energy, focused and driven

Responsive to the chef's thoughts, opinions and needs.

Responsive to constructive criticism

Adheres to all companies policies, recipes and presentations

Being a catalyst of positive growth and company values

Maintains professionalism at all times

Displays leadership and team building skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year

* Cooking: 3 years (Required)

* Food Handler Certification (Required)
