Job Description:

*Summary*

This position is hands-on and is responsible for the hot and cold food production and action stations.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

- Maintains organized saintary workstation at all times.

- Properly labels and dates food items for storage.

- Prepares protein, soups, sauces, starches and vegetable items. Adjusts quantity based on fluctuations in volume.

- Minimizes waste by controlling overage and usage.

- Follows approved recipes and production standards.

*Qualifications*

- Ability to read and understand English.

- Ability to lift 40 pounds.

- Ability to produce high quality food in a fast paced environment.

- Positive, customer service oriented attitude at all times.

- Strong knowledge of sanitary practices.

- Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.

- Work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment.

*Working Environment/Conditions*

- Kitchen environment - Otherwise not substantially exposed to adverse working conditions.

- Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.

- Daily lifting up to 25 lbs. Up to 5 minutes at a time. Daily carrying up to 25 lbs. up to 5 minutes at a time.

- Ability to distinguish color.

- See and distinguish objects or symbols as 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less. Depth perception, peripheral vision and bringing objects into focus.

- Climbing ladders and staircases multiple times per day as needed to pick stock.

- Constant standing, walking, stooping. Constant reaching, handling products.

* Broward County, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

* Food Service as a Cook or Prep-Cook: 2 years (Preferred)

* Overnight Shift (Preferred)
