Summary: The Quality Control (QC) Coordinator is responsible for detailed planning and timely execution of project deliverables through collaboration with QC and supporting departments. This role will maintain and optimize detailed, daily planning tools and reports and ensure that daily updates are seamlessly incorporated into high level, capacity planning and portfolio management tools. This role will analyze and maintain the planning workflow for the QC department and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Responsibilities: Develop and maintain short-term schedules (30-90 days) - in alignment with high-level capacity planning tools - to support detailed, daily planning and readiness efforts.Communicate daily plan and align on priorities with appropriate team members from the assigned functional area.Coordinate with functional area leaders to ensure that daily performance reports are generated and incorporated into the centralized performance tracking system in a timely manner.Ensure that changes to the daily plan are seamlessly incorporated into the high-level capacity planning tool that corresponds to the assigned functional area.Collaborate with appropriate team members to identify and resolve resource constraints (people, room, equipment, materials) and escalate issues as appropriate.Establish standard templates for process workflows with input from appropriate subject matter experts so that resource requirements and planning timelines are clearly defined for specific project activities.Coordinate key operations planning activities in collaboration with the assigned functional area and supporting departments to ensure readiness and on-time delivery of project deliverables. Specific responsibilities include:Coordination between assigned functional area, Quality Assurance (QA), and supporting departments to track creation, review, and approval of controlled documents according to project schedules.Coordination between assigned functional area, Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MST), and ERP Production and Capacity Planning to forecast material requirements and develop material purchasing plans based on project demand.Coordination between Procurement, Warehouse, MST, QC, and QA Supplier to ensure completion of testing and release of raw materials.Coordination between MST, QA, Manufacturing, and Technical Operations departments to ensure QC readiness according to project schedules.Attend Product Development Team (PDT) meetings as appropriate - communicate planning updates to the PDT and collaborate with Project Managers to maintain a current understanding of project updates and shifts in schedules.Use / develop tools and reports that could improve planning workflow and readiness efforts.Cross-train on the use and maintenance of existing high-level capacity planning tools, and recommend improvements based on observations and prior experience.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements for Competency:Bachelor's degree and three years experience in QC and/or planning/project management.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a team environment.Strong initiative and ability to motivate colleagues.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents, instructions, or reports.Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Windows Office environment required.General Production Planning, Detailed Capacity Planning / Scheduling skillsIntermediate skill or above in Microsoft ExcelExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems a plusThis job requires the employee to perform the following physical activities:Reaching, walking, pulling, standing, pushing, lifting, repetitive motion, hearing, talkingThis job requires exposure to the following: Laboratories, production rooms, waste holding areas, or other facilities where infectious agents are or may be handled or stored.This job requires the employee to perform the following type of physical work:Sedentary work.
