Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Field Specialist
to support our team in Columbia, MO.
Field Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
the following :
Development of study design including, but not limited to,
preparation of study protocols, field notebooks, analytical
spreadsheets, coordination of processes between field and
analytical phases of the study, etc.
Assists in gathering of cost estimate for overall study quote,
including field cooperator fees, project management, shipping
costs, sample prep costs, analytical costs, reporting costs.
Informs business development group of cost estimates for bidding
purposes.
Distributes field quote requests sent to field cooperators
including, but not limited to, field cooperator responsibilities
and deadlines, request for cost, chemical history requirements,
estimated planting/harvesting dates of target crop, request for
signature, etc.
Assist with the development of "Trial Award Spreadsheet" including
all necessary details of trial placement (includes test chemical
requirements, field cost, itemized quote, etc.) across all
applicable studies, distributes to appropriate staff.
Assist with the preparation/generation of a final field/analytical
residue report
Adheres to schedules in accordance with internal organization and
contracting organization's timetables and establishes daily and/or
weekly routines necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
Works on several projects concurrently and monitors and directs the
acitivities of staff, performing in areas of expertise.
May perform complex data evaluations, review field and analytical
data for accuracy and completeness and assist with writing of
complex technical reports and SOPs.
Determines test material requirements.
Reviews and writes protocols, amendments, deviations.
Often serves as study director and assists with training staff on
techniques required to perform job functions.
Develops appropriate documentation to include all necessary details
of trial placement (includes test chemical requirements, field
cost, itemized quote, etc.) across all applicable studies, and
distributes to staff.
Assist in the development of standards and specifications for
processes, facilities, products, and tests.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess :
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to
detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks
simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and
comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Agricultural,
Environmental, and Biological Sciences, or other directly related
field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas and a
minimum of five years of experience in a directly relevant
setting.
A Master's degree in a relevant field or at minimum of eight years
of directly relevant experience may be substituted for the
bachelor's degree and experience.
In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in
the relevant area may be used to substitute in total or in part for
the Bachelor's degree.
Familiarity and/or experience in a laboratory setting is required.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without
restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with
overtime as needed. This can be a remote position that will require
visits to our site periodically.
