A solid work ethic, the ability to work independently (but also work well as part of a team), good communication skills (both verbal and written), and the understanding that no job is complete until the documentation is done, are all a must. This position will be customer-facing on a daily basis whether in-person or by phone. Self-confidence and the ability to quickly earn the client's trust in your abilities and knowledge is paramount. The ability to multitask while keeping track of all actions performed is also expected.Here technicians work directly with customers to solve technical issues as they are assigned by their supervisors. The tasks assigned will range from password resets, remote application assistance, virus cleanups, and all the way up to enterprise server installations in data centers. Techs are responsible for completing the tasks assigned in a timely and professional manner to ensure service given to customers is of the highest level and to their satisfaction.Job Responsibilities:Provide technical support for our client base as an individual or in a team.Complete tasks to include, but not limited to: troubleshooting/configuring/maintaining desktop/server hardware, operating systems, office productivity software, network hardware and software, security devices and software, printers, and mobile devicesWork with supervisors to plan and execute support related tasks.Ensure timely resolution of customer issues as they are assigned.Relay noted customer needs to supervisors as they arise.Document work performed upon completion.Job Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent1-3 years relevant IT service experienceCreative problem-solving abilitiesAbility to adapt working style and approach to best communicate with customersComplete tasks assigned in a timely manner and report to supervisors quickly as requiredClearly summarize tasks performed verbally and in writingReliable transportation for travelValid driver's licenseThe Technical Qualifications listed below represent things we work with daily, but the most important thing a candidate can have is passion for helping our clients and a willingness to learn, share, and collaborate.Technical Qualifications:A good understanding of customer applications such as Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and web browsersExperience working with cloud technologies and working with common hosting concepts (DNS, webservers, FTP, SSH, RDP)Troubleshooting PC-based Computer HardwareInstallation and Configuration of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019Configuring Outlook (POP/IMAP/local Exchange/hosted Exchange)Installation, Configuration, and Troubleshooting of Windows 7/8/10 (both peer-to-peer and domain environments)Cable/DSL/T1/Fiber Connections (shared Internet connections in general)Network Infrastructure (switches/routers/firewalls/port-forwarding)NTFS PermissionsVirus/Spyware RemovalPrinting (local and remote)VPN Setup and Operation (client and server)Wireless (WiFi) Protocols and SecurityDNS, DHCP, TCP/IPMicrosoft certifications are a plus.
