Description $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS & RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE! 5361 NW 33rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33309 The IRL East Florida Division (EFD) Central Microbiology Laboratory supports 14 HCA facilities in the East Florida Division as well as multiple HCA hospitals in the FL panhandle, Georgia and South Carolina. In addition, the EFD Central Microbiology Lab supports a large network of outreach clients across south Florida, the US, and several international clients. Our Laboratory is open 24/7 and performs 1 million tests annually. At our beautiful state of art laboratory facility, we handle all specialized clinical microbiology testing using automatic equipment and molecular instrumentation in a high volume environment. Our clinical microbiologists are highly specialized laboratory professionals that perform different types of tests to help healthcare providers diagnose infectious diseases and perform antibiotic susceptibility testing to help direct clinicians on the best treatment options to prescribe to help cure the infection. Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsYou Will:Perform stat and routine microbiology and/or serology testingPerform non-technical duties including, but not limited to specimen receipt, processing, storage, retrieval and submission of samples for referral testing as requiredAssume responsibility of the department as appropriate in the absence of the supervisorPerform stat procedures within established turnaround time targetsReview pending logs (OSR) and result logs; resolve any outstanding workload or communicate to staff reliefPerform quality control procedures per protocol and handle all problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test resultsTake corrective action when the patient, control, standard, calibration and/or proficiency results are not within appropriate guidelinesYou Should Have:A 2 Year/Associate Degree is requiredA 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferredA State of Florida Technologist License is required OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview processExperience in Microbiology and experience with Serology/Immunology3 or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting and at least 2 years in a microbiology settingIntegrated Regional Labs is a full service providerfor clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology services, providing hospitals, physicians, and clients withtimely diagnostic information for patient care.
