Human Resource Admin AssistantDescription:I. JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities of the Department include the administration of human resource policies, procedures and programs. Functions of the Department include, but are not limited to, employment, compensation and employee benefits administration, HR information systems, training and staff development, policy development, and employee relations. II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:- Advises on and implements personnel policies consistent with BP's employee-oriented culture that recognizes performance and emphasizes empowerment, productivity and accountability. - Manages the recruitment process including, but not limited to: posting advertisements, reviewing resumes, preparing required documents, and scheduling and conducting interviews in partnership with management staff. Prepares and monitors online investigation requests and background checks. Obtains medical clearance and drug screening checks; verifies I-9 information and documents educational requirements. - Maintains and retains personnel files as governed by state, federal, and contractual obligations. Responsible for all regulatory reporting and compliance in conjunction with all independent audits. - Responsible for employee benefit enrollments, the reconciliation of monthly benefit statements and the preparation of appropriate invoices for payment. Works with vendors and brokers to ensure continuity of coverage for all employees. - Initiates and participates in employee disciplinary and counseling sessions. Responsible for documentation related to policy infractions, suspensions and/or terminations.- Responsible for new employee orientation, oversees the tracking, monitoring, and scheduling of required training, and assists with scheduling when necessary.- Serves as the primary communications vehicle for personnel matters through memorandums, newsletters, e-mails; responsible for maintaining a current employee directory, emergency contact lists, etc. Participates and contributes to the Employee Relations Committee. - All job requirements listed indicate the minimum level of knowledge, skill, and or ability deemed necessary to perform the job proficiently.
