Job Description:
Accountant - Asset Management FirmOverview: --- Our client is an
asset management company in the Ft Lauderdale area --- They are
high growth company they have grown from $500M to over $5B in
assets under management --- They have 5 offices in the US and
growing --- They have a strong mission focused on Diversity,
Entrepreneurship, accountability, teamwork and respect --- In 2016,
they developed an official ESG (Environmental Social and
Governance) policy to ensure ESG factors are part of their
investment decision process --- This role reports directly to the
companys Director of Finance Responsibilities of the role: ---
Record all transactions in the general ledger and reconcile cash
and positions daily --- Prepare quarterly and annual financial
statements --- Maintain interest collection schedules monthly ---
Prepare capital call and distribution notices --- Assist with
annual audits Qualifications of the role: --- 2+ years of public
and private accounting experience --- Bachelors in Accounting or
Finance --- Masters/CPA is preferred --- Experience working with
financial statements and understanding of US GAAP
