Select Banker, Miami FL-2001719DescriptionThe Associate, Dedicated Select Banker manages the day-to-day banking relationships of a large portfolio of highly affluent clients. The assigned clients are typically high profile investment clients and the Banker delivers an exceptional level of service through proactive management of issues and requests. S/he exclusively manages the portfolio and strives to deepen, retain and improve the profitability of these relationships.ResponsibilitiesActively monitors industry and company specific developments, identifying business opportunities for clientsConducts customer meetings to effectively uncover financial needs and provide relevant solutionsDevelops and maintains relationships with business partners to increase cross-sell opportunities and achieve sales goalsWork closely with Banco Santander International (BSI) in Miami, with a strong focus on developing relationships with mass affluent clients. Ensures activities are within guidelines and policies, covering market, operational, credit, conduct and regulatory risksExclusively manages a portfolio of High Value clients and strives to deepen, retain and improve the profitability of these relationships through effective business development efforts and superior client serviceIdentifies and evaluates client needs by utilizing approved financial profiling materials to determine suitable product recommendationsIdentifies new investment opportunities for existing clients. Recommends and sells products and services to both new and existing clientsLeverages lead sources and actively engages in outreach efforts focused on acquiring new High Value clients via lead lists, internal and external referrals, and prospectingMaintains professional community relations to increase the company's visibility and new business opportunitiesQualificationsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent field or equivalent work experience5-9 years of experience in financial services including developing current and new client relationships, achieving sales goals and building referral sourcesFINRA Series 7 and 66 or equivalent FINRA exams Bilingual, English/ Spanish strongly preferred, in addition English/ Portuguese a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication in each language.Ability to attain personal satisfaction by contributing to the achievement of client's personal financial goalsAbility to build and execute successful sales plansAbility to profile clients, identify their needs and offer them the right strategy by leveraging partnerships with a team of specialistsProven track record of working with and building long term relationships with mass affluent and non-resident alien clientsSelf-starter who can work collaboratively, can maintain confidences, communicate effectively and demonstrate good judgment Ability to work in a team environmentComfortable using, advising on, and engaging customers in digital and other innovative forms of bankingDemonstrated ability to successfully deepen and retain customer relationships, with proven historical performanceDriven to resolve banking client issues to provide a higher level of client satisfactionExcellent communication skillsExcellent leadership skillsExcellent understanding of brokerage and insurance productsExcellent understanding of business services including retirement plans, business banking solutions, insurance and succession planningExcellent understanding of personal trust and investment managementExperience conducting consultative conversations in person & on the phone with proven close rates through a needs-based sales approachFamiliarity with sophisticated banking services and products appropriate for high net worth clientsGoal orientedHighly specialized and detailed level of deposit, loan (including mortgage) and banking services knowledgeOutstanding sales, interpersonal and communication skillsProficiency in sales and service techniques, including tele-consulting, prospecting and networkingStrong PC and internal Bank systems skillsStrong financial acumen, general knowledge of commercial lending to small businessesStrong interpersonal skills with ability to establish credibility and rapport, excellent client contact skillsStrong time management skillsUnderstanding of Compensation Requirements under the Truth-in-Lending Act (LO Comp Rule) effective January 1st 2014Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.
