The assembler performs repetitive workstation or line-assembly operations. Main Activities/Responsibilities: Accurately assembling products at a fast pace on a single flow assembly line. Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools. Reading written instructions; labeling product and packages. Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules. Cross-trained on different products lines. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Operates any equipment needed to perform the job. Performs related duties as needed by supervision. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Competencies: Ability to frequently sit, stand or walk an entire shift. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools to perform one or more repetitive assembly operation to produce small, lightweight medical products. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, repetitively, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Proficient understanding of written and verbal English Strong attention to details Computer skills (basic). Spanish speaker preferred. Reporting Relationships and Supervision: N/A Education and Experience: High School preferred. One year or more of experience in a fast-paced production or assembly position, preferred.
