Job Description:

Our amazing team is looking for a paralegal! You must have experience as a legal assistant and/or paralegal.

We are a multi-practice, statewide Florida law firm. We are developing rapidly. The firm has a stellar reputation in the community and we seek to only hire the best. You'll be on a team of amazing coworkers who always have your back.

The compensation package includes a base salary plus bonus compensation for production and performance.

Responsibilities:
--- Preparing, filing, and serving case documents from start to finish (summons, complaints, motions, orders)
--- Sending and responding to discovery (request for admissions, requests for production, interrogatories)
--- Obtain information and documents from clients
--- Updating clients on the status of their case
--- Coordinating and scheduling hearings, depositions, and property inspections
--- Assist with managing the assigned attorney's calendar
--- Input information into case management software
--- Capture your billable time
--- Managing case flows, documenting actions taken, and ensuring the case is moving in the workflow
--- Assist with trial preparation including organizing evidence; preparing exhibits; scheduling witnesses; ensuring that witnesses are ready when needed; taking courtroom notes
--- Always be learning by participating in educational classes.

Qualifications:
--- Must have complete familiarity with and ability to use Outlook (email, tasks, and calendaring), MS Word, Excel, and pdf programs. You must be able to copy and paste, edit, format, change fonts, and colors, save files, create files, create folders, work with excel spreadsheets, etc. More than a basic knowledge of these programs is required
--- Prior experience using case management to manage files and workflow is a plus
