Job Description:

The Senior .NET Developer works closely with the software development team, serves as a development and technology expert and is also expected to identify and champion new development processes, solutions and methodologies. Responsibilities Develop applications and web-based solutions through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including solution design, development, implementation, and production support. Understand the latest technologies available and make recommendations on the best approach and solution to fulfill agency and client requests. Work closely with the local and offshore development teams when implementing complex data, software and website solutions. Proactively communicate accurate progress, delays and roadblocks to supervisors and project managers. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Ability to adjust based on changing needs. Assist with the proper testing of applications as needed. Publish applications to development, QA and production environments. Participate in project planning and estimation activities related to proposed projects and initiatives. Integrate with external and internal data sources and ensure adherence to data governance and security guidelines. Assist with requirements gathering, requirements analysis, site architecture and design of software and data solutions. Must be hands on to resolve issues as they surface as well as handle unexpected development requests when needed. Participate in the requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, code, test and maintenance phases of software product development in a leadership capacity. Qualifications Bachelor---s of Science in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience. 5 years of software design, development and architectural experience on multiple platforms. Expert level experience in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Design Patterns (GOF, MVC, etc.), Dependency Injection / Inversion of Control (IOC), Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP), and traditional Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Expertise in C#, .NET, WCF, ASP.NET MVC frameworks Detailed understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Batch / Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, and Refactoring. Expertise in Database technologies: SQL Server, including writing functions and stored procedures. Knowledge of cloud hosted solutions such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure is a big plus. Familiarity with Front-End technologies and Frameworks including HTML5, CSS, Javascript, SCSS, Angular and Angular Material is beneficial. Knowledge related to BigQuery, Python, PowerBI, Jenkins and Kubernetes is also beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability and willingness to keep complete documentation for assigned projects. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into business needs. Must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and flexible environment with changing requirements.
