You have a continuous improvement, automation and growth mindset with strong analytical skills.Position SummaryAs the System Administrator, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining and upgrading Atlassian JIRA/Confluence platform. You will support, compile and troubleshoot Atlassian tools as well as design custom JIRA workflows. In addition you will plan, evaluate, deploy, operate, and maintain tools to suit the expanding user-base. You will troubleshoot and fix errors common to applications and application servers.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesPerform design, development, page and workflow creation, user permission, folder strategy, etcAnalyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvementExamination of office processes, document/records management, user trainingMaintenance tasks as required to mature and grow the SuiteA strong desire to avoid doing the exact same thing the next time, by improving processes or documentationPerform application and system administration tasks, including data backups and scheduled jobs.Ensure data and project cleanliness.Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques.Work with Jira filters, workflows, and fields.Build filters, custom dashboards, and reports.Install, configure, test, and manage integrations and plug-ins.Train new staff on Jira and navigating our projects and spaces.QualificationsIdeally 5+ years of relevant experienceExperience performing Jira implementations including workflow configuration, schema configuration, and JQL.Perform application and system administration tasks, including data backups and scheduled jobsExperience in performing Atlassian installations, migrations, and plugin installationAn Atlassian Certification in JIRA Project AdministrationGood communication skillsKnowledge of scripting language(s) such as JavaScript or Python preferredWorking experience in a global environment with teams located in multiple regions.Adaptive Communication and analytical thinkingExperience with automation/working knowledge of AnsibleExperience with HAExposure to building deployment scripts in AzureExperience with shell scripting and Linux OSExperience with a ServiceNow to JIRA migration or other integration projectsExposure to OKTA, Crowd is desiredExperience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile methodologiesApply built-in customization and third party add-ons to extend JIRA/Confluence functionality, as neededKnowledge of Linux as a user/administrator, proficient with the linux command lineKnowledge of virtualization and cloud computing, XenServer, AWS or AzureExperience with automation tools, such as Ansible, Chef or PuppetImplementing and supporting high availability IT systemsAn understanding of networking and data communicationsIT monitoring systems such as ZabbixA basic understanding of SQL databasesBasic QualificationsRequires advanced knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
