Hiring now for the pre-opening team!Job Overview:The position of the Bartender is to ensure that cocktails and wine are made to order with swiftness and accuracy while providing the best possible dining experience. -Bartenders are to always be friendly, approachable, and accommodating. - -Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing technically proficient service to all guests. -Responsible for being the guests advocate throughout their DUNE by LT experience.
  • Responsible for treating all co-workers in a caring, gracious, and hospitable manner.
  • Responsible for communicating openly and thoroughly with supervisor and for bringing all guest concerns to supervisor's attention immediately.
  • Responsible for clearly communicating schedule requests or obtaining proper approval for all shift changes and for being appropriately dressed and ready to work at the scheduled time.
  • Responsible for strict adherence to all DUNE by LT recipes, policies, and procedures. - -
  • Responsible for having thorough knowledge of, and for being able to describe all food and beverage products accurately and attractively. -
  • Responsible for having thorough knowledge of DUNE by LT, its origin, and philosophy and enthusiastically offering to share that knowledge with all guests. - -
  • Responsible for learning all DUNE by LT specialty cocktails and becoming familiar with and knowledgeable about the wine list. -
  • Responsible for suggestively selling specialty cocktails, wines, and beverages, and for courteously up selling when appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring all beverages are accurately rung in on POS system, including all sales, comps, spills and voids. - -
  • Ensures that all drinks are consistently prepared the same way and include the same ingredients. Ensures that drinks are prepared with the correct ounces of alcohol and are served in the correct glassware in adherence to DUNE by LT recipes and procedures.
  • Responsible for counting their banks at the beginning of every shift and notifying a manager of any and all discrepancies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that he/she or a manager is always behind the bar. -Never leaves the bar unattended.
  • Responsible for handling all beverages, food, glassware, silver, and dishes in a sanitary manner and complying with all health codes. -Tongs must be available at all condiment trays. -Ice scoops cannot be kept inside ice bins. -Bottles, cans, or storage units of any kind may not be kept in ice bins that are not labeled for that specific use. -
  • Acts in a professional manner and does not eat, talk on the phone, raise voice to coworkers, or use inappropriate language or gestures behind the bar or within sight/earshot of guests.
  • Greets guests promptly and in a friendly manner. -
  • Is available and able to answer questions about DUNE by LT food. -
  • Responsible for taking drink orders from patrons or wait staff and ensuring that ALL wait staff drink orders have been rung in and have a corresponding ticket/dupe BEFORE preparing the drinks.
  • Responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes and DUNE by LT specialty drink recipes. -Serves wine and bottled beers.
  • Must ring drink orders into register, collect money from patrons for drinks served and make change.
  • Observes bar and dining room patrons to ensure that they are satisfied with their beverage and service. -Responds to any additional requests and determines when the patron is finished.
  • Collects cash, check or credit card payment from guest and makes change for cash transactions.
  • Keeps a clear and accurate record of any spills, breakage, or beverages returned to the bar.
  • Gets permission from a manager before offering any free or "comp" beverages.
  • Gets permission from a manager before taking any breaks and NEVER eats behind the bar.
  • Informs manager of VIP and regularly returning guests. -Tries to recognize and learn names of returning guests.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the bar and bar area, back bar, and bar sink areas.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to make an attractive display and merchandise drinks.
  • Immediately informs manager when he/she notices any items are running low and need to be reordered.
  • Completes all opening and closing side work.
  • Responsible for ensuring that ALL bar sales have been rung in and that the bar sales and bar drawer are reconciled.
  • Responsible for thanking ALL departing bar guests and inviting them back to L'Amico.
  • May be asked to assist with weekly or monthly inventory.
  • Responsible for helping fellow employees when needed and making an extra effort to ensure that all guests are satisfied.
  • Responsible for reporting all job-related accidents or injuries at the time of the incident.Requirements:
    • High school diploma or further educational certification or degree.
    • Sufficient exposure, generally a minimum of two years in a similar type of foodservice establishment. -
    • Prior experience in hospitality.
    • Flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Comfort in a high-paced/high-volume environment.
    • Solid work ethic.
    • Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and reach with little to no accommodations needed for possible extended periods of time.
    • Must have the ability to remain stationary for long periods of up to four hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 30 pounds.
