Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required. Can be licensed as RT or TT. National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential is preferred. Department Specific Credentials: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatric areas Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areas Note: For added clarification, see Mandatory Education Requirements Grid.
