Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida! A vibrant city located on
the southeastern coast of Florida, United States. Known for its
beautiful beaches, boating canals, and bustling downtown area.
Facility: Non-profit community hospital opened in 1955 Medical
staff consists of more than 600 highly skilled physicians
representing nearly every specialty in medicine. Opportunity: Dates
of Coverage: June 14-17, and future sporadic needs/vacation
coverage that arise. Practice Setting (Office-Clinic/Hospital
Based): Hospital Based Clinic Schedule (Shifts and Hours): 24 hour
on call for ED and practice patients Average Number of Surgical
Cases Per Day: 1 Trauma Level/Designation: Not a trauma
center/community hospital Annual ER Volume: 55,000 - 60,000
Documentation System/EMR: EPIC Number of Operating Rooms: 16 Number
of Neurosurgeons in Practice: 1 employed Patient Age Demographic:
Adolescent, Peds, Neonate, Adult, Geriatric, Adults 18 Estimated
Credentialing Timeframe: Emergency Credentialing will be performed
Facility Reimburse for the Following Costs: Flight, Hotel, Rental
Car, Mileage Billed at the IRS Standard Rate Prefer to have local
candidates but if not available the following limitations are to be
in place: No first class or business class tickets for airline -
coach should be used - no luxury hotel reservations Required
procedures: Neurosurgery Cases, Clot Removal, Tumor Removal, Shunt
Insertion or Revision, Diskectomy, Laminectomy, Spinal Fusion,
Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty, Spine Stabilization and
Reconstruction, CSF Sampling from Shunts or External Ventricular
Drains, External Ventricular Drain Management. Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice
included.
