We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary And QualificationsWe are seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a surgical environment. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.What you will do in this role:
  • You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of intra-operative patients.
  • You will assist surgeons in operative procedures patients.
  • You will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.
  • You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.What You Will Have in This Role:
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred
    • Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred
    • One or more years of experience as an OR RN preferred
    • Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting required
    • On-call rotation required -Must Live within 30 minutes of the facilityHCA Florida Mercy Hospital is a 488-bed facility. We are designated by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Other specialties include maternity and neonatal care. We are a Level II NICU hospital.
