DIRECTOR SURGICAL SERVICES, RN PORT ST. LUCIE / FORT PIERCE AREA, FL (TREASURE COAST)THE DIRECTOR OF SURGICAL SERVICES LEADS THE PERIOPERATIVE TEAM BY FOCUSING ON SAFE PATIENT CARE WHILE EFFECTIVELY MANAGING OPERATIONS. THIS INCLUDES MANAGING THE DEPARTMENT'S BUDGET AND RESOURCES. YOU WILL ALSO COLLABORATE WITH THE MANAGEMENT TEAM TO DRIVE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT IN PATIENT CARE SERVICES. YOU NEED A PERIOPERATIVE CARE AND SURGERY BACKGROUND. THE EMPLOYER IS NOT LOOKING FOR A DIRECTOR THAT COMES FROM OUTPATIENT CLINICS OR SAME DAY SUGERIES.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Director Surgical Services has 24/7 responsibility for their departments.You will accurately identify real/potential problems affecting the service and implement solutions with follow through and clear communication.You will actively participate in service, departmental and hospital wide committees as assigned, providing ongoing communication to the team you represents.You will advance the customer experience in Surgical Services.You will coach subordinates through providing feedback and constructive critique of work.You will facilitate individual development plans, and document job performance.You will effectively communicate departmental, organization and industry information to staff.You will facilitate evidence based employee engagement practices.You will effectively build strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational and department goals.You will participate in employee and patient rounding and identify and mentor potential future leaders.You will enforce standards of care for surgical services and develop processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance.You will develop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing surgical services program which assures quality patient care consistent with the Hospital mission.You will develop, prioritize and defend capital equipment requests.You will be responsible for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organizations financial resources.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree in nursing required.Masters degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred.3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required.Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.COMPENSATION:Annual salary ranges from $98,000 to $147,000 commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefitsTO APPLY:Submit your resume via the APPLY button appended to this ad or send your resume via email to: masud-a@peoplefindinc.comIf you need more information, please call Masud at: 1-866-477-0855 ext. 41.CONFIDENTIALITY:Your resume is held in confidence and will not be sent to any employer without your prior permission.
