A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Interventional Cardiology department at Weston Hospital provides intra-operative care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs. RNs care for patients during structural heart procedures, including valve repair and transcatheter valve replacement (TAVR). A caregiver in this position works 7:00AM - 5:30PM with on-call requirements. Caregiver must have at least 1 year of RN experience in Cath Lab, ICU, ED, or Tele to be considered for position. Caregiver must live within 30 mins of the hospital for on call requirement. A caregiver who excels in this role will

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider licensed military RN experience. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include

      • Requires frequent walking from department to department; requires sitting at a Workstation or desk; requires standing; work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs., such as files, documents and computer printouts.
      • Work requires finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.
      • Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests; ability to resolve conflicts among staff and to work collaboratively with department directors, physicians and other members of the healthcare team; ability to ensure operational efficiency; ability to problem-solve and make decisions; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
