Description:
We have exciting Medical Office Assistant positions available at various offices throughout Broward County. We offer competitive pay and a $4,000 Sign-on Bonus. Bilingual in Spanish/English is required. Office hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday (these hours might vary slightly depending on the office).
Must be a Certified Medical Assistant through NCCT, NHA or AAMA; or a Registered Medical Assistant through AMT; or a Certified Nursing Assistant to be considered for the position. Please visit our Career Center Home Page for more about our benefits.



  • Conducts tests and accurately documents and initials results in patient's record daily, as completed.


  • Maintains daily log on all waived tests done


  • Performs phlebotomy on all other tests requested


  • Sends specimens to the specified laboratory.


  • Maintains daily logs on all tests sent out and when results are returned.


  • Follows up on all missing reports.


  • Follows the manufacturer's instructions for instrument or test system operations and test performance.


  • Documents all results in the time frame specified.


  • Performs and documents control procedures using at least two levels of controls each day.


  • Follows procedures for specimen handling and processing.


  • Adheres to the quality control program.


  • Follows corrective action policy.


  • Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance


  • Documents all corrective action.


  • Performs proficiency testing samples the same way as patient specimens.


  • Follows OSHA's standards/guidelines


  • Maintains log on all tests


  • Files results in patient's record


    Minimum Qualifications :


    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.


    • Current BLS from American Heart Association certification is required.


    • Graduate of a medical assistant program or appropriate clinical on-the-job training is required.


    • Minimum of 1 year related experience in medical office setting is preferred. Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and health care insurance is preferred.


    • Ability to calm patients by being supportive is necessary.


    • Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, staff and visitors are necessary.


    • Nationally Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical licensure is required.
