Job Summary and Qualifications To provide safe and effective nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. The Registered Nurse also is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering said patient care. The registered nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of their assigned patients. They are also responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The position requires intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written, telephone and manual dexterity skills are required for the position. What qualifications you will need:
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • NRP and STABLE within the first 6 months. AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring course within first year of employment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Additional languages preferred
  • Basic Computer Knowledge
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
