SPECIALIST - 64027107 OPEN COMPETITIVE OPPORTUNITY This position
requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located
throughout Broward County. We request that all applications be

will not be considered. DESCRIPTION Duties and responsibilities are
those of a public health nursing position assigned to provide
comprehensive public health nursing services in the Family Planning
Clinic and Immunization (Adult, Child Infant) Utilizing the public
health nursing process, the incumbent will be required to
independently assess and administer adult/child immunizations, and
independently provide family planning services to women, males and
teens utilizing the established standard of care nursing protocols.
Provides public health advanced level assessment of health status
and health care needs of individuals, families and/or groups of
individuals (particularly those with complex and multiple problems
and communicable disease) in a variety of settings, including
clinics, schools, homes, and other public/community facilities.
Provides immunization (Outreach) in a variety of sites in the
community as requested and/or needed. Case manage a group of
clients diagnosed with abnormal Pap results, Sexually Transmitted
Infections, or other identified health conditions. May be required
to work during or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of
an emergency. Emergency operations functions required of the
incumbent include but are not limited to special needs shelters,
Red Cross shelters, and/or other functions. Perform other duties as
required.Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with Florida
Statute 464.
- Experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Hospital, Clinic
setting, Public Health, Home Health
- An associate degree or above from an accredited college or
university with a major in nursing.
- A valid drivers license free of any major infraction and access
to an insured reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes
(mileage will be reimbursed).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- RN experience working in womens health
- RN experience working in pediatrics
- RN experience in administering immunizations to adults or
children
- RN experience in administering injectable medications
- RN experience in Electronic Health RecordsFlorida Department of
