RN-Surgery $20K Sign-On Bonus BHMC FT (50037)Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale has been a respected leader in healthcare since its founding in 1938. As Broward Health's flagship hospital, Broward Health Medical Center offers 716 beds and is home to virtually every medical specialty, including cardiac care, maternity, neonatology, pediatrics and comprehensive stroke care. Additional services include cancer care, kidney and lung transplant, orthopaedics, palliative care, robotics, sickle cell, surgical weight loss, a Level I trauma center and an on-site fitness center.

Full time eligible 64 hours per pay period. Must be able to work rotating weekends and take call. Completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of Nursing. Current State of Florida Registered Nurse license required. Current BLS and ACLS cards from American Heart Association required. Experience in a Hospital Acute Care setting within the past 3 years strongly preferred. Must have at least Three to Five years of recent OR RN experience. OR experience in all surgical specialties preferred. Transplant experience preferred. Robotically trained RN preferred, but willing to train for Robotics Service line. Ability to function in a fast paced highly complex environment. Level I Trauma center experience Preferred. Ability to scrub and circulate. Strong customer and interpersonal skills require. Must be self directed and motivated. Under general supervision, renders professional nursing care in accordance with physicians' treatment plans in order to provide for the comfort and well-being of patients. In doing so, assesses patients' condition, administers prescribed drugs, provides treatments, observes patients' progress, records pertinent observations and reports reaction to drugs and treatments. Assists physicians with examinations and prepares instruments and equipment for physicians' use.
