PACU RN is a resource person and teacher. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Utilizes initiative and strives to maintain steady level of productivity. PACU RN is a self-starter. Is compatible and supportive; and a team player. Communicates on behalf of the patient reflects the mission, ethics and goals of the hospital, as well as the focus statement of the department Responsible for direction of patient care in the perioperative setting.Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State LicensingRequirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification.American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and certification.PALS (obtained within 6 months of hire)Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Additional languages preferred.Basic computer knowledge.One year of Acute Care Nursing experience preferred.2 years of experience in Perioperative setting preferred.
