John Knox Village, a premier Life Plan Community is seeking a Charge Nurse for our Wellness Department. Our Wellness Department\s main function is to respond to emergencies and provide clinical support to our residents. Our Wellness Department is open 24/7 with a total of 8.5 FTEs.
This position involves scheduling nurses, supervising, on-boarding, mentoring, performance reviews, patient resident assessments, validating all equipment is maintained and functional (AED, Two Way Radios, and Cell Phones), and direct patient care as necessary. The Charge Nurse will lead the Wellness Nursing team with triage, comfort calls, and resident assessments, predominately on Independent Living residents.
We are seeking individuals who hold a valid RN license in the state of Florida along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. CPR current, along with 5+ years of nursing experience, demonstrated competence with technology and used to working with electronic medical records and various software applications. Experience and ability to use good body mechanics, push a wheelchair with a resident ( 200 and assist lifting residents from floor.
Strong clinical assessment skills required for emergency nursing.
