Job Description:The ICU RN manages the nursing careof critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, proceduresand protocols of the healthcare organization. The tasks andresponsibilities include:Assesses plansand evaluates patient care needs. Carries outphysician orders. Serves as theprimary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Monitors, recordsand communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerizeddocumentation systems. Instructs andeducates patients and families. Assesses andcoordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcareteam. Educate new andcurrent staff on Sepsis programCreates andprovides training material to staff on Sepsis careProvides age andculturally appropriate care. Orients andmentors new staff members. Follows StandardPrecautions using personal protective equipment as required.Qualifications
FL RN Licensure, orRecognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)Currentcertification as a BLS Healthcare Provider. Currentcertification as a Healthcare Provider ACLS. Currentcertification as a Healthcare Provider PALS. 2-5 years ofprevious and recent ICU experience preferred. Customer serviceabilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinkingskills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in afast paced environment.
