has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse 2. The
Registered Nurse delivers patient-family centered care in a
culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of
quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific
patient care. Oversees Bed Placement, reviews all Admission orders
(i.e. ED, OR, Direct Admissions) and Transfer orders for Level of
Care changes to expedite/ensure appropriate floor/unit assignments
while communicating with the Interdisciplinary Team. Oversees
transfer requests from Referring Facilities seeking Inpatient or
Emergent Transfers. Coordinates with accepting Specialist to ensure
delivery of patient care through collaborative efforts with members
of the Interdisciplinary Team in accordance with the nursing
process and standards of care and practices. Knowledge of EMTALA
and state regulations related to patient transfers. Provides
internal and external customer service and maintains a working
knowledge of all hospital policies, procedures, and professional
standards.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited
school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred. RNs hired
with an Associates (ASN) degree have 2 years to complete the BSN
degree. State of Florida RN license Two (2) years recent nursing
experience required. Any combination of relevant education, work
experience, and/or certifications will be considered. Must have
current BLS and ACLS certification.The University of Miami offers
