JOB CODE: (910122) Administrator (Home Health) LOCATION: Palm
Beach County (FL) Seeking an experienced Home Health Administrator
to join a team of caregivers who strive to help patients recover
safely and independently in the environment they feel most
comfortable in their home. Caregivers work with the patients
physician and provide care planned specifically for the patients
needs, designed to help them take control of their treatment,
prevent future declines in their health and improve their safety at
home. Clinicians visit the patients home to deliver customized,
physician-prescribed care after a hospital stay, illness, or injury
to help them rehabilitate and achieve an optimal level of
independence or to proactively manage chronic conditions to help
prevent avoidable hospitalizations. The Administrator is
responsible for implementation and supervision of administrative
policies and administratively supervising the provision of all
services for the assigned agency. Patient Population: Has contact
with patients in a non-clinical setting; understands and
demonstrates appropriate behavior when interacting with patients in
the adult (18-65 years of age) and geriatric (65 and older)
populations. Essential Functions: 1. Plan, organize, direct and
evaluate operations to ensure the provision of adequate and
appropriate care and services for the Agency. This includes
providing supervision and oversight for that location. 2. Provide
expert guidance and assistance to Agency staff in all matters
relating to the delivery of home health services to assure that
quality standards are maintained and federal and state regulations
are met. Oversee the provision of patient care for the Agency,
according to established policies and standards. 3. Implement
governing body directives and ensure the implementation of
organizational policies and procedures, as well as the development
and implementation of appropriate services polices. Assure
documentation of services provided is accurate and timely. 4.
Develop and maintain sound administrative policies and management
activities including budget control, cost determination, fee
setting and collection, and financial reports to the Board of
Directors. Implement effective budgeting and accounting systems
that promotes the health and safety of the patients and oversees
all Agency fiscal affairs. Implement and regularly evaluate branch
budgets. 5. Employ, contract, recruit, manage, and direct qualified
personnel to carry out the policies and procedures of the Agency.
Ensure adequate staff education and evaluation. Ensure staff
development including orientation, in-service education, continuing
education and evaluation of staff. 6. Responsible for supervision
and evaluation of satisfaction surveys of all patients served. 7.
Direct and monitor organizational Performance Improvement
activities. 8. Participate in the review, analysis and appraisal of
the effectiveness of the total Agency program. Evaluate service
policies and functions, and recommend proposals for changes or
study of problems with affect the Agency. 9. Establish a public
relations program, ensuring the accuracy of information materials
and activities, for interpretation of the Agencys services and to
foster good working relations with physicians and community
agencies. 10. Direct preparation of annual report of operations and
annual Agency evaluation. 11. Implement all utilization review
activities, and coordinate the timely implementation of corrective
action plans and controls. 12. Responsible for the completion,
maintenance and submission of various clinical or financial reports
as needed to maintain or improve operational and clinical
performance. 13. Maintain office facility for the Agency which is
large enough for efficient staff work, adequately equipped, and
which provides for a safe working environment, meeting local
ordinances and fire regulations. 14. Oversee complaint resolution
and client/patient satisfaction periodic review of patient records.
15. Educate physicians, clients and members of the community on
home health care services. Serve as a resource for physician and
client questions regarding home health care services This
description is a general statement of required essential functions
performed on a regular and continuous basis. It does not exclude
other duties as assigned. Supervises: Manages the function and
personnel of the assigned facility. QUALIFICATIONS: Current State
professional license as a Physician, Registered Nurse, or Therapist
(if Education above is not met, and if hired on or after January
13th, 2018) Graduate of an accredited college/university is
required. (if hired on or after January 13th, 2018, a degree is
required, those employed with the Agency and promoted from within
may be considered with a High School Diploma or GED) , with
experience/education in the healthcare field. May be a licensed
Physician, RN licensed Social Worker, licensed therapist, or a
licensed Nursing Home Administrator, with at least one (1) year of
management or supervisory experience in a health related setting,
such as stated under Experience. Experience: At least two (2) years
of management or leadership experience in a health related setting,
such as a home and community support services, Agency, hospital,
nursing facility, hospice, outpatient rehabilitation center,
psychiatric facility, intermediate care facility for persons with
mental retardation or related conditions, or a licensed health care
delivery setting providing services for individuals with functional
disabilities. Home Health experience preferred Two (2) years of
experience in nursing management The ability to establish and
maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the
staff, the lay and professional public, the Board of Directors,
Advisory Board, and Medical Director. Shall be able to read, write
and comprehend English. Comply with required training for
Administration of Agencies Florida specific Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting required. Ability to handle stressful situations
in a calm and courteous manner at all times. Requires working under
some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Agency needs.
Environmental/Working Conditions: Works in an office environment,
promoting efficient functioning and coordination of all Agency
activities to insure the highest level of professional client care.
Available to Agency personnel in person or by telephone during the
Agency operating hours and possibly after hours for emergencies.
Ability to work a flexible schedule. Some exposure to unpleasant
weather. Ability to travel. Machinery/Tools/Equipment Requirements:
