Brief Description of the Organization and Role: Citi Global
Wealth (CGW) is an integration of Citi Private Bank and the
Consumer Wealth organization into a single platform enabling Citi
to serve its clients across the wealth spectrum and capitalize on
Citi's industry leading capabilities to support the goal of CGW,
which is to be the leading wealth management provider globally. As
we embark on this journey, it is imperative to have a strong Risk &
Control framework, supporting this goal through an independent but
integral Internal Control organization. This role is responsible
for the oversight of Operational Risk Identification programs
within CGW, including Key/Material Risk identification &
monitoring, Material Risk Inventory, and Scenario Analysis. This
role will ultimately report to the Director - CGW Key Operational
Risk Identification. Responsibilities:
- Drive proactive and timely operational risk identification and
monitoring across Citi Global Wealth (CGW) in line with
Enterprise-wide requirements
- Articulate key operational risks that impact CGW globally,
through vigorous quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and
engagement with subject matter experts and business risk
owners
- Work in tandem with business risk owners to develop and
implement appropriate risk monitoring and reporting of identified
key operational risks
- Provide continuous day-to-day oversight on in-business
operational risk identification and monitoring practices in CGW,
and identify optimization and streamlining opportunities as
needed
- Collaborate with Personal Banking Wealth Management (PBWM) and
Enterprise Risk colleagues to ensure robust CGW's input to the PBWM
Material Risk Inventory
- Participate in execution of the Scenario Analysis program for
scenario(s) that pertain(s) to CGW, in collaboration with PBWM and
Central Foundational team colleagues
- Partner with PBWM and Enterprise Risk teams to navigate the
evolving Enterprise-wide Risk Identification stipulations, and
recommend and execute necessary changes to ensure CGW staying
compliant with the Enterprise-wide standards
- Develop/maintain new operational risk identification internal
procedures/guidelines in line with the Central Operational Risk
Management Standards Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience, of which 5+ years of Financial
Services and analytical / control work experience. Experience in
risk management, compliance or other control functions is
desirable.
- Self-motivated, highly adaptive, and able to work well
independently and with others under tight timelines
- Proven skills in leading changes from ideation to influencing
stakeholders to implementation
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability
to synthesize information to resolve ambiguities and problems, and
to connect the details to the bigger picture
- Demonstrated skills is data analysis and extensive hands-on
experience in data tools such as Excel and QlikView
- Openness to challenges to oneself and others to improve the
status quo
- Ability to set priorities and organize multiple projects
simultaneously in a fast paced, demanding and dynamic environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills Education:
- Bachelor's degree; experience in risk, compliance, legal or
other control-related function in the financial services firm,
regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination
thereof;
- Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) and certifications (CFA, FRM)
