growth equity firm and are ready to take our growth to the next
level by expanding our Business Operations team! We are seeking a
Director of Mergers and Acquisitions focused on project management
to better connect business functions together and enable smooth
operations.You will be working across all business functions,
managing projects surrounding the design and implementation of
improvement strategies, opening new facilities, and executing the
company's goals. The role of our Biz Ops team is to provide a pool
of flexible, high-horsepower generalists who can step in and fill
gaps by employing some combination of:Business intuitionFinancial
modelingMarket researchProcess hygieneProduct awarenessSupply chain
optimizationData analysisWhat you'll do:
- Lead cross-functional projects across multiple teams and
departments.
- Plan projects in line with established project management best
practices. This includes identifying stakeholders, defining project
scope, crafting project plans, building project teams, and
assigning specific tasks.
- Execute the project: managing day-to-day project activities and
resources, monitor and track project progress, update project plans
and proactively identify and address potential risks.
- Keep stakeholders engaged and informed by providing timely
project progress updates and soliciting key stakeholders' input
when appropriate.
- Collect and analyze performance data and recommend corrective
action as needed.What you'll need:
- Analytical Agility. ShipMonk is evolving nearly as fast as it's
growing. The quicker you can draw insights from data, the quicker
we prioritize, develop and deploy new strategic initiatives.
Capable of harnessing quantitative and qualitative data, you're a
born analytical thinker who has experience designing and
implementing frameworks to unstructured problems.

tackling new challenges and being the first person to come up with
innovative solutions. You will often tackle problems that we have
not tackled before, so critical thinking is a must.
- A touch of OCD. You may not be an Octopus, but you'll be
juggling an array of projects at a time. You need to stay organized
to keep projects on time and budget.
- Communication. You have strong communication skills to engage
with multiple business stakeholders, understand their interests,
and unify them around a common goal for success.
