Title: Director of Hotel Sales & Catering (Emphasis)

Job Description: To increase hotel sales and contribute to the overall success of the

business including rooms and catering sales. Uncover and manage

new BTS, group and catering business in tandem with maintaining

existing customer base while embracing Cambria Hotel Standards

Knowledge/Training: Bachelor's Degree

A minimum 7 years of experience required

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

You must be able to read and interpret business records

and statistical reports.

Use mathematical skills to interpret financial information.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Analyze and interpret established policies

Deal with the general public, customers and employees with

tact and courtesy

Change activity frequently and cope with interruptions

Make business decisions based on production reports and

similar facts as well as on our own experience and personal


Participate in discussions and debates

Understand government regulations covering business


Essential Tasks: Actively participate in weekly revenue, marketing and

corporate strategy calls

Secure BTS, group and catering business while

meeting/exceeding individual revenue goals

Enforce sales related policies and procedures

Ensure sales production activities meet/exceed individual


Develop and deploy fully executable BTS, group and

catering action plans for securing/growing revenues

Develop and maintain client information for all sales

activities within the property sales system

Must update a Learning Plan and Performance Agreement


Create sales and catering proposals while taking the

customer's vision and budget into account.

Ensure event details are established timely and

communicated with appropriate hotel staff. Support hotel

staff with event requirements and assist with successful

execution of contracted events

Supervise, lead and motivate the Catering Department to

oversee all the aspects of events, such as ordering, rentals,

finding & managing staff, floral/decor, client/guest

interaction, setup & teardown

Develop tools/aides (checklists, task plans, etc.) to help

streamline event planning and execution from start to finish

Conduct weekly BEO meeting with hotel staff to ensure accurate

and successful execution of events

Confirm event details with the customer and execute all

contractual obligations

Must participate in rooms and catering budget creation and

provide sales activity documentation on a weekly

Develop and implement sales, catering and marketing

strategies to meet/exceed financial objectives

Meet with and maintain rapport with individuals and

contacts in order to produce transient, group and/or

convention business to include room sales, F&B sales, and


Develop and maintain departmental budgets

Must present and convey Choice standards at all times

Maintain a good rapport with area Chamber of commerce

and other local civic groups and companies

Maintain accurate and timely monthly reports

Achieve annual group and catering sales revenue goals
