Job Description:

A nonprofit organization in Florida is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Fort Lauderdale as their new -Assistant Nurse Manager (ICF / DD-N). In this role, the -Assistant Nurse Manager (ICF / DD-N) -will be responsible for -overseeing -the delivery of nursing services for residents and program participants in the company's intermediate care facilities, group homes, ADT, and school. Responsibilities: The -Assistant Nurse Manager (ICF / DD-N) will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring -the delivery of high-quality nursing care in compliance with established health management and pharmacology procedures.
  • Ensuring -the company and OSHA rules and procedures are followed in the performance of duties
  • Coordinating support for the physician in the implementation of medical services
  • Coordinating the implementation of medical consultant recommendations and attending physicians' orders to achieve an integrated Active Treatment Plan for all residents
  • Ensuring -that the facilities are maintained in compliance with expected standards for the safety and welfare of the residents.
  • Providing -oversight and direction to nursing staff under the company's policies and procedures and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local employment law
  • Monitoring -the delivery of nursing services by conducting internal audits, participating in external surveys, reviewing documentation, reports, and records, etc. for consistent quality and compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of Nursing experience; 3+ years of Supervisory experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
    • FL Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
    • Patient oriented
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Highly organized Desired Skills:
      • Master's Degree in Nursing
      • APRN
      • Experience working with the Developmental Disabled population
