care of all that really matters.Position SummaryThe People Manager
will lead and support all facets of human resources at A La
C.A.R.T.E. Solutions including talent acquisition, employee
relations, training and development, employment compliance and
performance management. This position will contribute to making our
company a better place to work and will have knowledge of various
HR generalist functions, including knowledge of multi-state
employment law to keep us compliant. The goal will be to serve as
an HR business partner and provide support to our employees,
managers, and leadership. This is a remote position serving remote
employees across the country in approximately nine different
states, and growing.Essential Functions
- Support, drive and administer company policies and
procedures
- Partner with leadership and internal managers to facilitate the
HR strategy
- Make recommendations to leadership to ensure top-level
compliance, employee retention and engagement
- Lead recruiting for the Company, including job description
creation, posting available positions, reviewing resumes, screening
candidates, and scheduling and conduct interviews
- Develop and coordinate successful onboarding process for new
hires
- Partner with leaders on talent management and succession
planning
- Maintain a working knowledge of the labor law environment,
federally and in the states we operate, and work with leadership
and outside HR consultant to ensure compliance.
- Identify key performance metrics and develop strategies to
facilitate learning and development opportunities for employees at
all levels
- Support managers with employee counseling, conflict resolution
and employee relations
- Build relationships across all departments and levels of staff
to serve as an HR business partner
- Provide timely assistance to managers and employees regarding
human resource questions and issues
- Be an ambassador of company culture and drive initiatives to
constantly build upon and improve the employee experience, and
champion diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Maintain personnel files for compliance, ensuring proper
documentation is included throughout the employee lifecycle
- Administer and support managers in the performance review
process, ingoing performance management, and career pathing
- Facilitate and coordinate employee recognition programs,
employee events and teambuilding activities
- Manage and track leaves of absence, including providing all
required notices and documentation
- Benefits administration including change reporting, adding new
hires, and open enrollment
- Support managers in employee coaching, performance improvement
plans, and terminations, including proper documentation and the
creation and execution of standard, compliant offboarding

teamREQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of experience in HR roles
- Experience working for a small company as an "HR department of
one", ideally with a remote workforce
- PHR Certification
- Experience in all facets of human resources including
recruitment processes, talent management, benefit and compensation
administration, employee relations and legal compliance
requirement
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law and
associate regulations
- Experience using data to identify insights that drive
action
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word,
Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, psychology, or
communications preferred
- Affiliation with human resources programs and HR organizations
