VP of Business Development and Client Relationships POSITION SUMMARY: The VP of Business Development and Client Relationships is responsible for carrying out the functions and goals of the company within the guidelines and procedures that have been established by management. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Business Development and Client Relationships will directly supervise the Customer Service and the Sales and Marketing, Divisions. This position should have a comprehensive background in corporate-level FBO and/o aviation business development, marketing, staff development, and customer service. Cultivates and maintains significant partnerships and relationships internally and externally throughout the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meets or exceeds productivity standards as set forth by the company.
  • Performs strategic planning to create new, strengthen existing, to sustain exponential revenue growth by fostering high-level relationships to expand Sheltair's overall corporate-level FBO and industry-wide business partnerships.
  • Recommends and assists in the development and implementation of customer service standardization and training programs for ongoing employee development and functional enhancements. Provide high-level innovative and strategic direction, goals, and execution on the long-term vision of the customer service and sales/marketing departments.
  • Responsible for the financial sustainability and growth of the business unit(s) through increased revenue growth, enhanced sales, and creative marketing efforts as well as cost control measures.
  • Advancing the goal of ensuring Customer Satisfaction and retention through delivering a professional exceptional service experience using various internal and external professional and proven training resources.
  • Provide vision and structure for the continued development and growth of the business unit. This will be measured in both revenue growth, the creativity and effectiveness of the sales and marketing initiatives, and overall services offered to the customer.
  • Accountable for all activities related to corporate governance of the customer service and sales and marketing -divisions through the transparency and vision of executive leadership, as well as industry feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for hosting Customer Service Conferences for Customer Service Managers/Supervisors
  • Develops, organizes, tracks, and implements development initiatives included in the strategic marketing plan.
  • Performs market research and analysis collecting information on direct/indirect competitors. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
    • Highly motivated, self-directed strategic thinker
    • Supervisory experience (Required for the role with subordinates)
    • Willingness to maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image.
    • 2+ Years of Social Media Marketing experience on all major social media platforms
    • Expert project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.
    • Ability to provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to subordinate team members including conducting development and performance discussions.
    • Proficient ability to solve functional problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
      • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Aviation or other related fields with a Master's strongly preferred
      • Minimum of ten (10) years of proven business development, sales/marketing, and customer work experience in proven ability to initiate research, use networking techniques throughout the FBO/Aviation industry, and effectively secure new business
      • Experience with the FBO management systems and other sales and marketing program platforms
      • Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and development and maintenance of relationships both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, and manage risk
      • Highly successful in building relationships with upper-level decision makers, seizing control of critical issues, and delivering on customer commitments TRAVEL
        • This position will require 80%-90% Travel.
