Job Description Job Description We are partnered with an established General Contractor in Sunrise, Florida that is seeking an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bidding diverse commercial projects and wants to be part of a collaborative, well-run construction environment. What You’ll Do Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial construction projects Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed takeoffs Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing Develop budgets, bid proposals, and cost breakdowns for management review Identify value engineering opportunities and potential cost risks Collaborate closely with project managers, leadership, and operations teams Support preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission What We’re Looking For 3 years of estimating experience with a General Contractor (commercial projects) Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and materials Experience bidding projects such as retail, office, healthcare, industrial, or mixed-use Proficiency with estimating software and Excel (e.g., PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, or similar) Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple bids at once Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Senior-level candidates should have experience leading bids independently and mentoring junior estimators.
