Job Title: Communications Digital Media Specialist
Reports To: Director of Communications & Strategic Partnerships
Salary Range: $58,000 - $62,400 (depending on experience)
OIC of South Florida (OIC-SFL) is a community-based leader in
providing quality self-help skills and employment opportunities for
disadvantaged and underemployed residents; thus, assisting them to
become self-sufficient and productive members of society. Its work
is accomplished through three divisions: Workforce Development,
Youth and Family Services, and OIC Strategic Integration.
The Communications Digital Media Specialist is primarily
responsible for assisting the Communications Director and the
Communication Team (e.g., Outreach Coordinator, Photo/Video
Technician, and Community Liaisons) with the daily tasks associated
with promoting and marketing the organization by conveying the
OIC-SFL experience through multiple forms of media and content
The Communications Digital Media Specialist must possess knowledge
of how to capture images as well as conceptualize and structure
information into formats that can quickly and coherently convey the
brand essence of the organization and compel action by the targeted
population. OIC-SFL participates in and supports numerous events
throughout the year and it is essential that OIC's community
involvement is captured in photographs, video, and text for
dissemination and distribution through traditional and digital
media outlets. The Communications Digital Media Specialist will
help promote OIC-SFL through collateral design, website management,
email marketing, social media branding, event awareness/coverage,
and channel effectiveness tracking (i.e. Google Analytics) and
monthly KPI reports.
Our communications team is looking for a candidate who has
developed and led marketing campaigns, designed brand architectures
(e.g., logos, brand identity standards, etc.), designed
consumer/end-user collateral marketing elements (e.g., events,
flyers, catalogs, newsletters, annual reports, etc.), and has
maintained functional websites and other digital communications
channels for companies/organizations. If you stay current with the

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
--- Update and maintain OIC social media presence, including: daily
monitoring and content posting, and scheduling and reporting for
all social media channels.
--- Website functionality and maintenance, including: writing and
editing content, designing webpage layout, determining technical
requirements, updating websites, creating back up files, and
solving code problems. Remove any "dead" links immediately and
respond to issues with site functionality.
--- Implement and maintain high-quality SEO policies and
incorporate them with content produced for the website.
--- Create collateral elements for new community outreach
--- Contribute to the development of annual reports, press
releases, videos, and content for website.
--- Assist in planning, writing, and managing e-blasts and
--- Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts and
other program-related stories.
--- Assist in creating and updating marketing and promotional
--- Assist in the planning and execution of program-specific
--- Disseminate "in-the-know" information to community
--- Assist with event photography for use on the OIC website, and
the creation of promotional videos and marketing materials.
--- Lead the research and vetting process for companies utilized in
the procurement process for digital equipment.
--- Other duties as assigned.
--- Two years college education and professional website design
--- Knowledge of fundamentals of design imaging
--- Experience with multimedia programming and technology
--- Skilled in usage of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
--- Skilled in graphic design and content creation
--- Ability to perform basic website development/management
--- Experience with photography and videography equipment, video
and audio editing, and animation
--- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word,
--- Ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and be
flexible to varying program hours
--- Displays entrepreneurial sprits, self-reliant, and
--- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
--- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds in a
--- Must possess the ability to walk, sit, and stand, for periods
of time, as well as the ability to lift presentation materials,
including photo and audio equipment
--- Must be able to pass a background check, and possess a valid
driver's license and reliable vehicle
--- Bachelor's degree in Multimedia/Interactive Media, Web Design
or Graphic Design
--- Experience with Adobe Suite/Creative Cloud (Photoshop,
Illustrator, InDesign, PremierePro, etc.)
--- Experience with iMovie and Final Cut Pro
--- Experience with creating PSDs for visual layout of web pages
and converting each design into HTML and CSS
--- Knowledgeable with maintaining and updating all JQuery plugins
--- Experience with Constant Contact or another newsletter
--- Dropbox knowledge
--- Proficiency with ASP.net web forms
--- Knowledge of content marketing a plus
--- Experience with creating and editing videos/photos a plus
