We are seeking a highly skilled SALT Senior Manager to join our Asset Management practice, serving clients in the financial services industry, including private equity funds, hedge funds, and fund of funds.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Provide detailed review and analysis of complex Private Equity, Hedge Fund and/or FoF partnership state tax returns
  
• Serve as a Career Advisor by providing mentorship or coaching to one or more employees
  
• Train and develop staff members
  
• Work on multiple complex issues while communicating in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between the client and the service team
  
• Serve as the state tax client service coordinator for appropriate clients
  
• Advise clients on a full spectrum of state tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and general mergers and acquisitions activities
  
• Reviewing research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards
  
• Assist with new business development, extended service and tax issue recognition for existing clients
  
• Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and state tax compliance
  
• Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
  
• Other duties as assigned
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • 8-10 years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm
    
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    
  • Active CPA, Enrolled Agent or Licensed JD
    
  • Prior state and local tax compliance & consulting experience serving Asset Management clients
    
  • Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
    
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Working knowledge of state tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
      
    • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus
      
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

      Compensation Range: $97,200 - $183,700
      
      Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
