Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team in our Fort Lauderdale headquarters. This role is responsible for general ledger account reconciliations, accurate reporting, data verification, and analyzing financial data to assist management in making financial decisions aligned with company objectives. The senior accountant will prepare journal entries and other analysis as required to support financial reporting and compliance. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is seen as one to help support the recent growth of the company. -
- Primary Responsibilities:

• Support timely monthly financial close, including assigned journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Takes ownership in providing schedules and commentary with respects to financial results and variances
• Maintain and update records and reports for various financial reports
• Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
• Prepare other analysis to support financial reporting requirements and compliance and assistance with ad-hoc projects based on business need
• Complex Journal Entry and Account Reconciliations
  Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's degree in accounting
  • CPA, preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, public accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Team player with positive focus on timeliness, quality of work, attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
