Job Description:

In this role, the Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and reviewing individual and business tax return projects, and tax returns, and coach, mentor, train and develop the skills of other team members. It is essential that the successful incumbent is able to communicate directly with clients regarding tax planning, transaction structures and build a network of relationships and attract new client business. The ideal candidate must enjoy problem-solving and assisting others and possess the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. They should desire to work for a company with their professional growth in mindPrimary Responsibilities:

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations for a variety of clients as well as individuals.
• Prepare complete tax returns for a variety of corporate and individual clients; review tax returns prepared by staff members for quality assurance.
• Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experiences.
• Manage a team of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects.
• Complete tax related research and special projects as needed.
• Expand knowledge through exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and training opportunities Experience and Abilities:
  • A minimum of 4 years tax experience at a CPA firm.
  • Experience mentoring and counselling staff-level team members.
  • Experience with corporate, partnership and individual taxation as well as consolidations.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams. Education & Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
    • Licensed CPA or meet CPA exam eligibility requirements.
