Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks listed below and are not an exhaustive list of all the tasks
that may be required for this position.
The Senior Accountant's duties and responsibilities may include but
are not limited to the following:
Monthly financial statement preparation, which includes analysis of
financial information in order to prepare and post appropriate
journal entries and provide proper review for accuracy. This is
done by working closely with the operations, asset management, and
other departments to provide an accurate financial story for each
client.
Preparation of bank reconciliations for all legal entities.
Responsible for cash management for assigned properties including
various funding requests, wires, and distributions and prepares
monthly cash analysis statements.
Prepare monthly financial packages for clients, which may include
retail financials.
Assists with year-end audit by pulling support and answering
questions to ensure that all reporting deadlines are met
Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to answer
questions, provide support and ensure timely completion of all
assigned duties
Manage property insurance, taxes
Vendor management and compliance
Supervisory duties to engage and manage a team daily
Responsible for meeting the timelines in the monthly financial
closing schedule.
Manage and Process weekly payables for properties
Perform other tasks assigned as necessary

Excellent customer service skills
Exhibit good interpersonal skills while serving working with
supervisor, co-workers and vendors
Ability to work through difficult situations and maintain positive
interactions with prospective residents, Castle Residential
teammates, and vendors
Knowledge and computer operation systems (Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions
Ability to work a schedule during normal working hours and that may
be other than Monday-Friday, 8-5. Work in excess of 40 hours per
week is likely
Consistent, regular and in person attendance during assigned hours
at the workplace are required
Understand and follow policies and procedures
Accept constructive criticism
Ability to manipulate and sort large volume of data in excel

LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business

correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw
valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of
technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal
with several abstract and concrete variables.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

Bachelor's in Accounting or related field is required.
Experience with joint venture accounting is preferred.
Experience with public accounting is preferred.
CPA highly preferred.
Progressive accounting experience required.
Excellent Excel skills.
Third party, client management experience
Mixed use/retail financial experience
Lease up, new construction experience
Be a proven team player and leader that can work quickly,
accurately, and independently in a fast paced environment.
Supervisory experience, must be able to lead and build a team
effectively and embody CR's Core Values
Strong verbal & written communication skills.
Strong prioritization skills while managing multiple tasks
simultaneously.
Organizational skills required; meeting deadlines in a timely
manner.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience in a wide variety of accounting software systems,
preferably in RealPage and Microsoft.
